You can stay in Panama up to 30 days. After thirty days, you must apply for a visa at the immigration office (Oficina de Migracion y Naturalizacion). You can stay up to 90 days.

Panama Perpetual Tourist: After 90 days, you must leave the country for at least 72 hours. Then you can re-enter the country for the next 30 days, and then apply for the visa for another 60 days. This can be repeatedly as many times as you would like.

Panama Retiree Visa: make a deposit in the National Bank in the form of a certificate of deposit that generates $750 per month. This means the CD is about $100,000. This deposit is returned if you leave.

Panama Investment Visa: Set up a business with a minimum of $10,000. This means you need to form a Panamanian corporation and deposit $10,000 in cash. Three Panamanian employees are required for this visa to be valid.

Panama Immigrant Investor Visa: Foreigners who invest at least $100,000 in Panama for commerce and industry.

Panama Immigrant Visa: If requirements are met, there are several types that a person can qualify.

Panama Immigration Visa for Spouse of Panamanian Citizen: If your spouse is Panamanian, then an immigrant visa can be applied for.

Panama Immigrant Forestry Investor Visa: Invest at least $40,000 in reforestation within Panama.

Panama Autonomous Individuals Visa: Deposit at least $100,000 in a Panamanian bank.

Panama Temporary Technician Visa: This visa is for techies and executives who work for private business. Contact the Ministry of Labor. Visas are also extended for spouses and children.

Panama Student Visa: This is a temporary visa for students and workers.

All visas require the following:

1. Four passport photographs

2. HIV test.

3. Four copies of birth certificate

4. Police report stating that you're clear of convictions.

5. A doctor issued medical certificate.

You must file through an attorney.
